RE/SET: The Sanctuary Series

YOUR PREMIUM ALL-INCLUSIVE HALF-DAY OUTDOOR WELLNESS RETREAT

We weren't made for constant distraction.

Screens. Notifications. Deadlines. Full calendars. Half breaths.

Modern life keeps us connected to everything except ourselves.

RE/SET was created as a sanctuary from that pace. A premium, nature-based retreat experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and remember what it feels like to be fully present.

This is more than a day of wellness. It's a guided return to rhythm, breath, presence, and the natural world, equipping you with practical tools, restorative practices, and everyday rituals to continue your RE/SET long after the retreat ends.

Each experience is guided by leading practitioners with highly specialized credentials whose expertise bridges ancient Eastern teachings with modern scientific understanding, bringing centuries of wisdom to life for modern living.

What happens at RE/SET?

A half-day in nature designed to bring you back to yourself.

From arrival to departure, every part of the RE/SET experience is intentionally designed to help you transition out of daily life and into a more restored state.

The Forest Effect

For centuries, cultures around the world understood that time in nature was essential to human wellbeing.

More than a walk in the woods, forest bathing is the intentional practice of slowing down, engaging your senses, and reconnecting with the natural world.

As modern life became faster, louder, and increasingly screen-based, many of us lost the importance of that connection.

At RE/SET, we bring time-honoured wellness practices and today's leading-edge technologies to the forest, where the environment itself deepens the experience. Guided breathwork, sound healing, mindful movement, biofield tuning, red light therapy, and quiet reflection take on a different quality when surrounded by trees, birdsong, fresh air, and the living rhythms of nature.

Modern science is now beginning to quantify the benefits of intentional time spent in nature, including its impact on stress, attention, mood, sleep, and the human nervous system.

Why the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary?

There is a reason your body softens around singing birds.

In nature, singing birds can signal an environment alive enough, active enough, and safe enough for sound. Your nervous system reads that cue as safety, which helps the body begin to relax.

Less threat. Permission to exhale.

That is what makes the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary such a powerful setting to RE/SET. With forest trails, flowing water, and more than 150 species of birds, the sanctuary is more than a beautiful setting. It creates the conditions for the body to slow down, settle, and fall back into rhythm with the natural world.

RE/SET invites you to take in the forest through the senses. Grounding practices deepen that connection by bringing your awareness back to the earth beneath you.

  • NATURE AS MEDICINE

Nature is not the backdrop. It is part of the practice.

Forest trails, birdsong, fresh air, and open space help quiet the pace of daily life and invite the body into a slower rhythm.

At RE/SET, the natural world becomes the first guide back to presence.

  • EASTERN TRADITIONS

Some practices do not need to be reinvented.

Breathwork, acupressure, intentional movement, and energy-based practices help release tension and create space for inner steadiness.

At RE/SET, Eastern traditions offer a time-tested way to reconnect with what daily life asks you to ignore.

  • MODERN SCIENCE

Science is beginning to explain what ancient teachers intuitively knew.

Sound, vibration, light, and frequency-based practices are used to help regulate the nervous system, and support a deeper state of calm.

At RE/SET, these modalities are woven together to deepen the experience and restore energetic balance in the body.

Brought to you by East West Manifest

East West Manifest is reimagining the neighbourhood café as a place where wellbeing becomes part of everyday life.

We're creating a space where coffee is intentional, your daily ritual becomes more than autopilot, and Eastern-inspired practices, modern wellness, and meaningful community invite you to pause, reconnect, and prioritize yourself.

The image is an AI-generation of our vision. While the space is still taking shape, our mission is clear: help people feel better, connect deeper, and care more consciously for themselves, their community, and the planet.

RE/SET: The Sanctuary Series is the first expression of that vision, bringing the East West Manifest philosophy to you before we can bring it home to the café.

Everything You Need to Know

Do I need experience with breathwork, meditation, or wellness practices?

No. RE/SET is designed for all experience levels. You'll be guided throughout the day, but participation in every activity, wellness practice, and therapeutic experience is always optional.

There is no pressure to perform or "do it right", only an invitation to explore what feels right for you.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothing and weather-appropriate layers. RE/SET takes place rain or shine, so please dress for the forecast and bring whatever you need to enjoy a comfortable day outdoors. We also recommend a water bottle, yoga mat or towel, and footwear suitable for walking on forest trails.

Is food included?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch, beverages, and adaptogenic coffee are thoughtfully prepared to create an inclusive culinary experience for vegan and gluten-free guests.

Can you accommodate dietary needs?

Yes. For food allergies or other dietary restrictions, please notify us when booking so we can make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs safely.

BY BIKE:

The sanctuary is located directly along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, making it a beautiful destination by bike.

For exact directions, parking details, and arrival instructions, please check your confirmation email before the event.

Who can attend RE/SET?

You are welcome to enjoy RE/SET on your own, with a partner, or with a small group of friends. The experience is open to guests 14+. Guests under 18 require their own full-price ticket and must attend with a parent or guardian.

Planning for a larger group, team, retreat, or special occasion? A private RE/SET experience may be a better fit and can be customized around your group’s needs.

What happens if it rains?

RE/SET is designed to be experienced outdoors, rain or shine. We recommend dressing in comfortable layers and bringing weather-appropriate footwear. A gentle rainfall brings deeper greens, softer trails, quieter air, and reveals the forest in an entirely different light.

If conditions become unsafe, guests will be contacted with updated plans.

Is this a physical or strenuous retreat?

No. RE/SET is designed to be gentle and restorative. While the experience includes time outdoors and walking on natural trails, all activities are optional, and guests are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level.

Before your visit, you'll complete a brief intake form to help us understand any mobility concerns, injuries, or accommodations that will allow us to create the most inclusive experience possible. With more than two decades of experience, our practitioners are trained to thoughtfully adapt the experience whenever appropriate.

If you have questions about whether RE/SET is the right fit for you, please don't hesitate to contact us before booking.

Do you offer corporate bookings or private groups?

Yes. RE/SET offers customized experiences for corporate teams looking to invest in the long-term wellbeing of their people.
